Donald Findlay QC

Donald Findlay

Britain’s leading Criminal Defence Advocate

Ex Rangers Vice Chairman and Unionist, Donald Findlay is one of the few remaining eccentrics in Life.

Having been filmed singing rather politically incorrect songs in 1999 Donald has recently been in even greater demand on the Scottish After Dinner Circuit.

He served as Rector of St Andrews University between 1993 and 1999 and is a regular contributor on current affairs on both television and radio. In 1998, Donald published his first novel, the court-room drama Three Verdicts.

He brings his varied interests and colourful background to any dinner and enhances it with his quick wit and the same theatrical skills that have seen Donald Findlay become the most sought after criminal advocate in Scotland.

Bill Barclay

Bill Barclay

Bill began performing in the 1960s in Edinburgh and hasn’t stopped since.

Since 1978 Bill has been a regular contributor to Edinburgh’s premier local commercial radio station, Radio Forth, as a presenter.

Through the 1970s Bill toured solo in Europe, the USA and the Middle East working with the likes of Elton John and Rod Stewart. He still regularly appears at special functions such as Burns suppers in the Far East.

As well as this Bill has regularly appeared on our television screens in Taggart, Take the High Road and Rab C Nesbitt and recently starred as a gang leader in the critically acclaimed Martin Scorsese film ‘Gangs Of New York’

Ian ThainIan Thain

Ian made his name in local Highland League Football spanning 22 seasons and making a total of 780 competitive appearances for Deveronvale, Keith, Inverurie Loco Works and Cove Rangers.

Since retiring from the game he has made a name for himself locally as one of the most sought after sporting dinner comperes.
