Chairperson’s Newsletter
Time for another update as to what’s happening at Kemnay Football Club. So here goes:
GIVING SOMETHING BACK
Some time ago the Committee decided to mark the 30th Anniversary of the Club by offering something back to other local causes and groups who may not be as fortunate as Kemnay FC in terms of funding support. I used an earlier newsletter to ask for suggestions for groups that we could support and it’s great to announce the following donations:
- Cot Death Society £250;
- Hip Hop Club £200;
- The Grove Nursing Home £100;
- 1st Kemnay Cubs & Scouts £200;
- The After School Club £150;
- Xmas Lights Fund £100
FAMILY QUIZ NIGHT
The family quiz night is booked for Saturday 14th November at 7.30pm in Kemnay Bowling Club. George Asher will be our quizmaster and as the name suggests it’s a quiz for both kids and adults. Tickets will be available soon from your team coordinators so get your requests in as this tends to be a popular evening.

If anyone has had cause to log on to the website recently you’ll have noticed that it’s slowly being populated with lots of different information – team pages, news pages, fixtures and match reports and chat forums. Ultimately we’d hope to use this as a primary means of communication between the Committee, the coaches and our players and parents. We have more plans to improve it further including players’ pages, a page recognising the support of our sponsors, club history page, a photo gallery and some useful links to other websites. So log on, register and get involved.
BOGBETH PARK 7-A-SIDE PITCHES
This is something of a plea to all teams that currently use Bogbeth Park for training. If you are using the 7-a-side pitches, please avoid the goalmouth areas. They very quickly get cut up and although we have tried to re-turf certain areas, continual use means that these areas rarely get a chance to knit. Thanks for your cooperation.
AND FINALLY, IF ANY OF YOU KNOW OF ANY PLAYERS….
As we all know, as players get older and move from 7-a-side to 11-a-side football, so they develop other interests and from time to time they drift away from the sport. A couple of our teams find themselves in need of a few extra players to augment their current squads so if anyone knows of young players born in 1995, 1996 or 1998, then please contact me or the team coordinator for these squads.
