CHRISTMAS RAFFLE DRAW

Hopefully you've all now received your tickets for this years Grand Christmas Raffle. Please do your best to sell these to family, friends and work colleagues as we will have some fantastic prizes up for grabs at the draw. These include a first cash prize of £250, an 8Gb Ipod and a signed and framed AFC shirt. There will also be several of the renowned KFC Squad hampers in the draw, each containing a range of fantastic festive treats.

Should you need some more you can get them from your team coordinators. The draw takes place on Thursday 17th December at Kemnay Bowling Club and the fun starts at 7.30pm. Everyone welcome!

WEBSITE - www.kemnayfc.com

Just a reminder that through our web-meister Claire Campbell we continue to further develop the new website. There are some match reports appearing now and a number of you have signed up. I'd encourage everyone who wants to, to sign up and start getting involved. This is very much work in progress and there is much to do, however the more people we get involved, the more effective the website will be as a communications forum.

FOOTBALL PITCH UPDATE

Some will know but most will not that the Club has been working hard over the last year in an attempt to secure additional space for our young players to train and play their games. As the Club grows we do face the real possibility that we will one day outgrow our existing facilities at Bogbeth Park. We had a good response to a recent ad in the Newsletter and as a result we're exploring a couple of options that could see the Club secure additional land for future development. It is early days, but the initial signs are encouraging. I'll update you all as and when I can.

AND FINALLY, IT MIGHT BE MORE THAN 6 MONTHS AWAY BUT….

Kemnay FC holds its AGM in June. I wouldn't normally mention this so early, however traditionally the AGM is the time when serving Executive Committee members complete their tenure and new members arrive. Next year will be no different with people choosing to stand down having served the Club so even at this early stage, please give some thought to getting involved. It would be a really exciting time to do so, with the Club in good shape both on and off the park, and some exciting projects on the horizon. The Committee could always benefit from some fresh ideas so if you are at all interested, please take the chance to speak to one of the current Committee over the next few weeks and months for further information - Stuart Webster, Emma Roberts, Kirsten Cassidy, Brenda Muirhead, Linda Whiteford, Claire Campbell, Nicci Reid, Anne Munro

TAKING THE PLUNGE FOR CHARITY

If you'll indulge me I'd like to end with a personal request. Four of my colleagues from work - Fraser, Janice, Malcolm and John will be embarking on a journey of a lifetime in May 2010 to trek along a section of the Great Wall of China to raise money for Help the Aged / Age Concern.

Whilst I wont be trekking the Great Wall I have decided to lend my support by doing something to raise some money for this fantastic cause with my own personal challenge.

So for no reason other than it being something I've always wanted to do I'm going to be jumping from a perfectly serviceable aircraft from 12000 feet above Perthshire while harnessed to a complete stranger - yes I'm going to be completing a tandem skydive in late March / early April next year. What is more, I'll hopefully be videoing the whole thing for posterity, and to prove that I actually did it!

I'm keen to ensure that any donations I receive go straight into their pot so rather than set up my own fundraising page I'm asking family, friends and football acquaintances if they'd be willing to back me by logging onto Fraser's Just Giving page online and donating.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are 100% safe and they'll never send you unsolicited or unwanted e-mails. Once you've donated, JustGiving will send your donation straight to the charity and make sure that Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

If you'd be willing to support me in my jump and my colleagues overall fundraising effort, then log on to the web address below and give what you can. Every little helps. Thank you.
