March 2009

Hello everyone,

Well after some dreadful weather and numerous match cancellations, the kids are back to doing what they do best – representing Kemnay Football Club on the pitch. I’ve taken the opportunity to take in a few games involving our older squads – the Under 13’s, Under 14’s and Under 15’s and it’s great to see the kids giving their all on the pitch and some extremely good football on show.

FOOTBALL PITCHES AT KEMNAY ACADEMY

After what feels like an age, Kemnay Football Club has finally agreed the let of a full-sized football pitch and access to changing facilities at Kemnay Academy for the duration of the 2009/2010 season. We hope that this, coupled with KFC95 agreement to use the Monymusk Amateurs pitch will help to alleviate the pressure on Bogbeth Park and ensure that our older squads have access to facilities that are fit for purpose. Of course each year that passes only serves to increase the pressure on our existing facilities and so the Committee continues to explore the options available through regular dialogue with Aberdeenshire Council.

FUNDRAISING DINNER

Planning for this event on Saturday 12th September is now at full speed with a small team currently busily organising the evening. As previously advised, tables are available for the dinner for organisations or groups of parents. Table sales have been brisk so anyone who is considering booking a table should contact Derek Brown or myself.

KFC98 PLAYER SEARCH

With one eye on the 2009/10 season and the move up from 7-a-side to 11-a-side football KFC98 are currently on the look out for new players to bolster their squad. Anyone who knows of players (who should have been born 1998) who might be interested in joining the squad should contact Mark Lawrie for further details. Mark can be contacted on 01467 641238 or kemnayautobody@freewolf.co.uk

KEMNAY TOURNAMENT

Kemnay Football Clubs annual football tournament is booked for Saturday 16 May in Bogbeth Park. A last year the day will be split into Under 7’s, 8’s and 9’s in the morning and the Under 10’s, 11’s and 12’s in the afternoon. Application forms have been circulated to all coaches who are eligible to enter their teams. The day is taking shape and we hope that it will be another wonderful celebration of juvenile football

For the first time this year we have booked Kemnay Bowling Club for the evening so that we can bring the curtain down on another thoroughly enjoyable day by letting our hair down. All are welcome.
