KEMNAY FC 97 8 BANKS OF DEE 1
Following 3 successive difficult games, KFC were looking for a bit of a confidence boost and they got it today.
After a bright start, Iain and Fraser forced a corner and when the ball broke back to Connor R, his second cross was headed into the net by Fraser. Three minutes later and after some good work from Iain, the ball was squared to Sean who shot low to the keeper’s right.
Ten minutes in and Adam forced a corner. Connor R, again fired in a wicked cross and Fraser headed-in for his second and KFC’s third.
The best was yet to come and it was Fraser again who hit a long-range shot over the keeper and into the top left corner of the net.
The game now became a bit more even but James in the Kemnay goal was not really called into action. After 25 minutes, a good ball from Connor H, was run onto by Iain who kept his cool to score KFC’s 5th. A few minutes later and Iain turned provider to Sean who scored number 6 after 2 attempts. Just before half time, Banks of Dee managed to win a corner then eventually had their first shot on goal but it went just past the post.

The second half started quietly and 5 minutes had passed before Fraser ran almost the whole length of the park but couldn’t force the ball in. 10 minutes in and Iain scored number 7 from long range before Banks of Dee hit the Kemnay post. Iain scored his third and KFC’s eighth after a good run where nobody was going to take the ball off him. Banks of Dee now started to have the upper hand and it was no surprise when they scored a consolation goal.
The game finished on a high and some good work from Adam put Jack through on goal but his shot went just past the post.
This was a much better performance than the previous week but a stern test lies ahead with Fraserburgh next to visit Kemnay.
