Following an 8 am pitch Inspection this morning, we were pleased our match against Ellon Meadows was able to go ahead and hopefully allow us to build upon last weeks splendid performance.
We were pleased to welcome Kieran Craigen into the squad from Westdyke and his debut performance was one of many highlights from today's game.
Like many of us, Kemnay 2002 can sometimes be a little slow to get going on a Sunday morning and frequently require a shout or two to get them fully wakened, but not today as they raced to a 5-0 lead within as many minutes. The pace and strength of Aaron and the fantastic through balls from Kieran were causing Ellon lots of problems.
Kemnay continued to play some excellent attacking football creating and finishing a number of chances and although Ellon pulled a couple back, with Leah winning the midfield battle, Kemnay were looking very strong at this stage.
The second and third periods enabled us to both rotate the players but also try some of the lads in new positions which hopefully gave them an insight as to the work rate and positional awareness required of their team mates.
It's encouraging to see Aaron add another 7 Goals to his early season tally along with very good hat-tricks from Leah, Alfie and defender Fraser along with a couple from Lennon and a nice finish from Stuart to complete the scorers.
We are on our travels next week to play Byron Madrid and hopefully continue with our good performances and attitude to the games.
Well done everyone, lets keep going!
