Kemnay 2002 v Culter BC Colts

Today we welcomed Culter Colts to Bogbeth Park with a 1.30 KO to allow sufficient time for everyone to attend church for remembrance services.

The Coaches were keen to ensure that the team continued on from last weeks fine performance against Insch and our pre-match warm-up focused on playing one two's, something which was to become a key feature and benefit for today's game.

The squad was along the usual lines but we were pleased to have Jay involved and also to welcome Lennon back.

The opening period saw Kemnay play some wonderful football especially down the right channel were Fraser was absolutely brilliant, linking with Stuart and Leah and providing several quality crosses for Alfie and Aaron who were taking up great positions and finishing the chances that were being created. It was good to see Leah rewarded again this week with a well taken goal, as she puts in a tremendous amount of work in midfield every week. Culter were not allowing us to have it all our own way and deservedly got themselves back into the game with some neat finishing.

We didn't start the second period quite so well conceding a couple of goals before eventually getting back in to our stride with some well taken goals from Fraser & Lennon. Jay was also holding the ball up well and laying off some good balls for his team mates.

The 3rd period was better as we lifted our game again playing good attacking football with Stuart delivering some fantastic crosses and Aaron creating and finishing a number of chances bring his tally to seven for the game. Cameron was having a quieter day but he was called in to action when bringing off another top class save to deny Culter. 

It was another very satisfying performance in which we enjoyed as a team with everyone contributing and sharing in one anothers goals and good build up play.

Well done KFC 2002 you are getting better and better each week and are playing some wonderful football, which is a joy to watch.
