Byron Madrid v Kemnay 2002

When Where
10 Oct 2010 - 10:30am

We headed in to Aberdeen to play Byron Madrid at Northfield Playing fields expecting a tough match following some very good matches in the 4v4 events.

Kemnay were on the front foot from kick off and created a number of good chances but a mixture of bad luck, hurried finishing and good defending meant that our possession and good play went unrewarded. We were caught a couple of times when Byron broke through, but with Cameron in superb form in goals it was going to take something special to beat him today.

Our passing, movement and link up play was a joy to watch and it paid dividends when Aaron fired in a strong unstoppable shot to open the scoring for Kemnay. Everyone was playing their part today with Fraser and Stuart keeping it tight at the back, Aaron, Leah and Kieran winning the midfield battle and linking well with Alfie. We continued to dominate and a second goal soon followed again from nice work from Aaron.

The second period allowed us to introduce Cameron Gerrie and Lennon and Cameron went on to put in a fine performance and even managed to get in on the scoring act with his first goal of the season. There was another good finish from Aaron and a nice turn and left foot strike from Stuart as Kemnay continued to display some fantastic football.

The 3rd period was just as exciting  with Lennon finishing off a great move and Aaron netting his fourth goal before we did conceded a late goal from a nice finish from the Byron forward.

We kept up our excellent work-rate with Leah playing her heart in centre mid and finished the match strongly winning 7-1.

We might not be the easiest coaches to please but boy oh boy KFC 2002 were absolutely superb today, well done everyone!

Our next match is at home to Glentanar Boys Club.
