Kemnay FC Milan V Muggiemoss Youth

When Where
27 Sep 2009 - 10:30am Bogbeth Park, Kemnay

Our first home game on the season on a Sunny Sunday morning @ Bogbeth Park.

KFC Milan kicked off the game and within 15 secs Reece Brown had finished off a great cross from Lewis Beaton to go 1-0 up. Reece had various shots at goal, but the busy Muggiemoss Keeper was a match for anything the Kemnay players shot at him. Muggiemoss managed to get a couple of goals and got themselves back into the match at 2-1.

After a great passing move Lewis Beaton cut in from the left side an unleashed a great shot which went across the keeper and into the top right hand corner. After the match, Lewis said he "meant to cross the ball", but it flew into the goal.

Milan were unfortunate to lose a penalty as the Midfield maestro for Muggiemoss dribbled past a few players for Reece Brown to mis-time his tackle and give away a penalty. The Muggiemoss player scored and made it 3-2 after a good effort to save from Callum Scott.

Muggiemoss scored to make it 4-2 just before half time.

Robert Lamb and Ayden Ogilvie replaced Caitlin Robbie and Ross Davidson at half time. The MIlan team showed their fighting spirit in the second half, and the drama was to go into the final minute of the game.

Cameron Carnegie making his first start of the season kept the Muggiemoss Keeper busy and was unlucky not to score with a great shot early in the half.  Robert Lamb got himself into the action and hit the bar TWICE, with one shot !!!!!.

Kemnay pulled a goal back with a good cross from Cameron Carnegie for Lewis Beaton to score his second goal of the game, and make it 4-3. Muggiemoss then added a fifth goal soon afterwards to make it 5-3.

Kemnay were not finished yet, and produced another great fightback. Recce Brown managed to finish a goal mouth scramble to make it 5-4. Last week's goal hero Glen Munro took possession in the Muggiemoss half and made it towards goal before being brought down in the box as he prepared to shoot.  Glen Munro placed the ball down and scored from the spot kick, to make it 5-5.

With the clock ticking down, both teams looked for a winner, and Ayden Ogilvie was unlucky not to score twice, one effort going narrowly wide and the other the keeper saved. Both keepers saved well during the half to keep it at 5-5, but a long ball caused a mix up in the Kemnay defence, and the Muggiemoss player managed to score into the empty net to make it 6-5.

Final whistle blew to end a great game, and both coaches congratulated both sides for an entertaining and good passing game of football.

Kemnay Player of the Match : LEWIS BEATON.
